Michael Munnik lectures on the sociology of media and religion at Cardiff University, working with the Centre for the Study of Islam in the UK. His research concerns journalistic practice in the coverage of religion - especially Muslims - as well as Muslim engagement with journalism. Prior to his postgraduate study and work in UK academia, Michael worked as a broadcast journalist for CBC Radio in Ottawa, Canada.
